My passion in photography is capturing people doing what they love, with the people they love.
To me photography is part art, technique and hard work. All three must be accomplished to make great photographs. Great images convey emotion.
I work hard at weddings to make photographs happen, often that means getting down and dirty laying on the ground, climbing a tree or hanging out a window.
I grew up in Palmer, Alaska running around like a maniac. After high school I spent 12 years in Reno, Nevada where I attended college and apprenticed in photography. I met my amazing wife on an exchange program in Costa Rica in 2005, we’ve been together ever since.
In 2015 we moved to Palmer and built an earthbag house. You can see what that is here at the blog my wife made of our adventure.
We love to spend time playing in the mountains.
